You alone are God. Thank you for blessing us with a land that has no king, where we can worship you freely. Thank you for the freedom of the three-branched government.

We ask that you will bless our president and his family. He is not king, but head of state and chief executive. You are the King of Kings and let him make no executive decision that contradicts your will and instructions for our lives.

We pray for our lawmakers, that they will make no law that contradicts your law, especially your Law of love, nor your Word.

We pray for our judicial branch and our Supreme Court. We acknowledge that they do not hold all wisdom. You are our Wisdom. You are the "Ancient of Days." Let them interpret the law with your wisdom and make no opinion that is contrary to your wisdom.
